The EDS plot below is of a similar specimen from the Government Pit. Although this plot is from a qualitative analysis, it is the best reproducible data of a Goverment Pit allanite known to the author. The plot may be useful as a comparative reference for future analysis of specimens from this locality. This analysis was performed by Dr. Eugene Foord of the U.S.G.S. Allanite EDS plot

Notes: Several "Allanites" from Joppa Hill, Amherst, NH have recently been analyzed with EDS and found to be Ce rich Epidote, not Allanite.
